The Fastweigh team is made up of both next-generation software developers and heavy civil industry veterans, making us uniquely equipped to create better tools for your business. For over 25 years, we have built software that streamlines the operational workflows at the heart of bulk materials.
Material producers need systems that fit the way work actually happens. This means the scale operator, loader, back office team, and CEO should not be fighting separate versions of the truth. Fastweigh brings those pieces together so teams can move faster, trust their data, and keep materials moving.
We're proud to continue to innovate alongside our customers and drive the industry forward.
We simplify bulk materials operations from the scale house to the back office with technology built by people who know the industry firsthand.
We envision a world where every bulk materials operation runs on trusted data with connected workflows, powered by a technology partner invested in its growth.
We build technology that fits how you actually work, gives you confidence in your data, and stands behind you every step of the way.
We would rather be honest than overpromise, and we believe trust is built through clarity.
We measure success by whether our customers are confident, growing, and supported for the long haul.
That perspective shapes what we build, how we solve problems, and how we serve the market.
We believe in real access, real answers, and strong communication.
We adopt technology that works. We only build it if it moves our industry forward.
We build with our customers, growing thoughtfully together over time.
Fastweigh grew out of the real rhythm of plant operations, where trucks, tickets, dispatch, billing, and reporting all have to work together.
Armando Mendiola founded Fastweigh after developing scale and business software for Texas Crushed Stone in Georgetown, Texas. At a time when the low-cost PCs were opening new possibilities, he created one of the earliest electronic scale ticketing platforms for bulk material producers.

Mike Mendiola entered the industry as a teenager working summers in the scale house. After graduating from Baylor University with a background in computer science and business, he helped modernize the platform into one of the first Windows-based scale ticketing systems on the market.

Mike partnered with Steve Rasmussen, whose background in civil construction, bulk material sales, trucking, logistics, and IT brought another operational perspective to the product. After Armando's retirement, the team rebuilt Fastweigh as a modern cloud platform and launched the first cloud version in 2015.

What started at the scale house is now a platform for the whole business. Fastweigh brings operational data, daily workflows, and connected teams into one place, helping producers run with more speed, visibility, and confidence. With advanced API tools, automation, mobile workflows, and practical AI on the horizon, Fastweigh gives bulk material teams the technology foundation to run smarter.
